Coronavirus Lockdown Support
Whilst in this period of Lock-down I have decided not to progress any routine or project work. I will however be available to tend to any pressing concerns which might represent a danger to life or property or which present a significant living hardship. So if you loose power, lights cooking facilities etc or spot a problem which you feel might be dangerous, then please do give me a call.

Additions / Alterations
Perhaps your home electrics are not as you want them. Outlets, switches, lighting in the wrong places or you need additional points to suit the way you use your home. You may have new light-fittings to install or want a new style to suit your new room layout or decor. New bathroom or kitchen? These will require electrical changes. The Ringwood Electrician can achieve these quickly and test for safety and certify on completion.
Fault Diagnosis and Repair
You may see or experience problems with your electrical points or wiring. Things may not operate as they should or do so intermittently. You may have some coloured or bare wires showing, cracked or broken fittings. You may even smell or hear arcing or burning. Time to turn off your electrics and give the Ringwood Electrician a call.
Periodic Safety Inspection
Every property should have a periodic inspection of its electrics at least every 10 years. There should be a sticker on your fuse board or consumer unit to say when one was last carried out and when the next is due. An inspection should also be carried out whenever there are new occupants (renters or owners). Varying degrees of test and inspection can be carried out to suit your circumstances and budget.
New Build / Extension
Perhaps you are having an extension on your property or even building a new house. It will need a new electrical installation designed and provided in stages as the build progresses. Call the Ringwood Electrician, Robin Hoad
Rewiring / Consumer Unit Upgrade
You may have been having problems with the fuses blowing, the breakers tripping or you feel a ‘tingling’ when you touch something. Your property might be over 30 years old and the wiring has never been replaced. It may be time for a full or partial rewire or at least the addition of an RCD device or a replacement consumer unit. I can advise on the possible options you have after inspecting and testing your system. I will never advise a re-wiring unless really necessary.
Where in your home?
Clean and Tidy
I always try to leave a site more clean and tidy than I found it. If I am to be followed by other trades then I try to leave the site and my work in a suitable state for them to proceed.
Prompt & Reliable
I’ll arrange to attend as soon as possible. If, as the Ringwood Electrician, I really can’t make an appointment for any reason then I will always call.
After working in the corporate world, I now much prefer to get to know my customers personally. I want to hear of your aspirations and ideas and how you feel about my work. If we have time for a cup of tea, I’m a ‘white, no-sugar’ man 🙂
High Quality Work
I prioritise quality right through from considering design options, planning the job, supplying good quality components and taking my time to install everything neatly and correctly.
Who is the Ringwood Electrician?
